LC mud flaps on lx450 (1 Viewer)

Yes I searched bud didn't find an answer. I have land cruiser front mud flaps that I was going to put on today....well after I pulled the running boards off I found out they wont fit unless I trim the outer edge of the tops of them. Is this what yall do to fit them or are there specific ones for the LX due to the ugly molding??

Yeah i think you have to trim them due to the lower body clad molding on the lexus....I do not think a lexus ever came without running boards...i know that they do not make front flaps specifically for the lexus with LX450 on them

I never got around to getting front mud flaps for my LX, so I don't know. I do know that there are no LX mudflaps. I did quite a bit of research when I was looking and could not find a single OEM mud flap for the 450. Although I can't say for sure that all LX 450s came with running boards, I do suspect this to be the case.

-E0 used with 045, 1B1 and 4M9


These particular parts are Lexus-only fitment and as such must be purchased from a Lexus dealer.


AFIK the Cruiser ones fit with a bit of futzing and are cheaper.

They are rare, but some LX's came without porches and racks, so the front flares should be available.

Front LC mud flaps from Dan bolted right up on my LX, only problem is they are not painted to match like the stock rears. where are you having problems exactly?

Where the flair blends into the body molding in front of the front door, the outer edge sticks out about 3/16" further than my wifes 80.

wonder if there is a diffrence there between a 97 and a 96?

I do not have access to a LC to compare, but the LX has plastic on the rocker below the door that I just recenty noticed that would explain why the flare is wider there so the flare would match up to the rocker. but the mud flaps on mine sit into a groove there, so that the flare is foreward of that protrusion, hard to explain wish I could post a picture still waiting for my MOBO, but maybe if you flex the aft face of the flap foreward a little it will sit into that groove?
