Now, don't get me wrong, I love my cruiser and wouldn't trade it for anything, but thought this was kind of funny.

FZJ80 Weighs around 6,000 lb or 3 tons
M1 Abrams Weighs 120,000 lbs or 60 tons

FZJ80 gets approx 13 mpg
M1 Abrams gets approx. 3 gallons per mile or .33/mpg

For its weight, the M1 Abrams gets 22% better gas mileage than the FZJ80

This is quite interesting, but the comparison is very unfair.

The M1 is powered by a turbine which is tuned to provide approximately the same mileage numbers at idle as when running full throttle through rough terrain.

At 120,000 lbs though, I would probably settle for .3 mpg if I were running at 50mph.

It's not a Cruiser, but it is one amazing peice of machinery.

I want me one of them German 120mm smooth bore guns those things sport. They are as accurate on the move as they are standing still.........
They use a laser to measure the droop in the barrel at different tempreatures and the fire control system compensates for it.............
