Hi everybody. Hope all is well! Becky and I have been bizzzeee on the weekends. Between wheeling and seeing friends and hitting Knott's in CA we're on a roll! We'll be running the Crown King Backroad on Saturday, April 16th in our 1993 Land Cruiser. It sure would be nice to run that with some friends. I hear the trail has changed from all the rain and floods and Lake Pleasant is 100% full (should be a cool site). Let's check it out? Sorry, we can't make the AZLCA run on Sunday (though we'd like to).

TRIP: Crown King Backroad
RATING: Who knows now...probably a 3.5?
WHEN: 8:00 AM, Saturday, April 16
WHERE: Chevron, just east of I-17 and Carefree Highway
CB channel: #4
Cell phone: 520-975-1723
TRIP DURATION: 6 hours, snacks at the play area, lunch in Crown King
TRIP LEADER: Guess who?

If interested I'd luv an email back. Thanks! we will be leaving Tucson on Friday, early AM.

COME ON OUT BEFORE IT'S TOO HOT!

You should head up this way some time you could hit washington and then head into canada. hell ill even buy ya a beer. up near Mt Baker there are some pretty neat camping spots and some intresting trails. deff a whole different type of wheeling nice and slick.

have fun and be safe

I would love to but my wife would shoot me. That's our anniversary weekend and we already have plans. Our first weekend away without our daughter. She is 2-1/2 now, so it's long overdue. :frown:

If your not bringing the mall cruiser we will let you show at the Sonic meet that night! :D

Naw. The 100's been off pavement every week. It needs a rest. My 80 leak is fixed and I can't wait to get it out.
Thanks for the invite. We're staying in Anthem. Satisfied Frog baby! (Oh, sorry...I mean Kevin)

mike

well its not my run but im sure he can. shottz???

i went up CK not long ago, it has chenged some more with all the rain but not too drastically different than when you were there last. mostly just more rutted and more exposed rocks :)

i cant think anything that would be too difficult or impassible for an air conditioned rig :flipoff2:

Ran the trail Tuesday (cause I am leaving AZ friday) for the first time with my GF riding shotgun in the 04 Tacoma. Started at Lake Pleasant - It was real fun - the bloom is on big time. Made all the challenging hard-lines  Very tight around Oro Belle. Massive erosion in many places. The creek was flowing very well with nice pools for swimming. CK was quiet and the weather awesome!
