just trying to sell my fj out of Salt lake city utah just got done repainting and treating all the rust minimal bondo, original 2f engine 3 speed great drive train good leather seats red with black pieces on the seats repainted the inside floor removed gas tank and cleaned, new door panels , new window felt fixed all the pats and pieces in the doors.did some work on the engine no leaks did valve ajust and rebuilt stock carb with stock jets, and put timing spot on with 130 psi compression on all cylinders 16in of vacuum. should pass saftey and emmisions with how good it runs, white top and head light bezel grill piece, dissasebled front fenders and grill to paint frame black with a powdercoated front bumper black side steps black rear bumper new lights all around from cruiser outfitters. good heater and defrost no powersteering all vacuume lines routed right so you have no problems.
i would like 20,000.00 but will consider offers

You say original drivetrain, but shouldn't a 1976 have a 4 speed? Do you have the spare tire carrier for it? Is there some sort of cover over the top dash pad? Also, bezel is upside down.

no there is no tire carrier for it but im not sure about the drive train... im just posting this for my dad he knows alot more about it

no it has original 3 speed... and yes i have a tire carrier painted black just have not put it on cause some other people like the aftermarket carrier on it..and what bezel is upside down?

They switched to the 4-speed from the 3-speed starting in 1974, so yours having a 3-speed is interesting.

And the bezel is the white metal piece surrounding the radiator opening. This thick part goes on the top.

oh ok thank you. and hmm yea idk about the tranny im pretty sure the engine is the original one.
 
The shifter isn't stock. Could be the tranny was switched to a SM420. 3 speed with a granny low?
 
What do you mean by "split year"? 1974 was the year that transitioned from 3 to 4 speed, not 1976. I own a 1974. Something doesn't add up. It's either not the original drivetrain, or it's not a 1976. Getting $15k for it without knowing this could prove hard to achieve! Good luck with the sale.
