I finally got around to this

I ran power through the channel, so this shows that "grommet" with the large battery cable that some people asked me to post a pic of how to run power to the cargo area.

The cable for running the dc 2 dc charger for the lithium in the cargo area runs from the engine and fits through the grommet and under that plastic step.
Also runs the radio antenna and a couple more power lines.

I'll post the sat uplink later.

Can we get a link to some context?

Sure this the sat gear used.

I used a GETAC B300 laptop and a SONIM xp8 phone but any laptop ipad or phone will do.

If you are going remote or anywhere where cell and internet are not available... well now it is.

Now available to the general public is StarLink available at starlink.com which is broadband satellite service, for $100 a month. Same gear the US gov shipped to Ukraine.

Remote areas I am getting 61 to 300 MPS, and generally around 100mps, fast enough to stream internet, a TV or maps or a zoom meeting.

You can use it at home and take it with you when you travel. Great for remote camping, spike camps, emergency or RV.
Dish is approx. 1' x 2' x 4".

I measured the watts at 65.1 to run it.

If you're going to a remote off grid the wifi goes 200' from the router easy and you can then call folks with your cell over wifi.

Hope that is helpful.

I thought US/CAN starlink has a radius tether to the home billing location?
This was my understanding as well. If this is a mobile solution now (obviously not while driving) I might have to consider switching.

It's been done.

Here are some pic's of my temp setup testing .. way off grid where there is no cell or internet available.
The dish automatically locates the angle it needs for the best signal.
You can use the StarLink wireless or hard route using your own with an optional rj45 doogle.

This is pretty awesome 👍.

Wow, game changer with the portability option available now. Thanks for sharing this!

The Starlink Mount on the roof is the Starlink variable roof angle one attached with the large zip ties (175 lb ones).

The laptop mount is the Ram mount for the Tunda with the GETAC Vehicle mount which is specific for GETAC laptops, but RAM makes generic mounts.
The mount is removeable, pops out just pulling a single pin.
