If you saw the Amazing Race on April 19, the teams were tooling around Oman in some Landcruiser 100s. They got to drive through a couple different rivers. Fun to see the Landcruisers on TV.

When I lived in Flagstaff AZ I actually had a Film Company rent my 76 FJ40 from me for 10 days in order to film a TV Commercial for Verizon. They filmed it up around Page AZ I believe but due to the fact I am in the Army and soon after moved to Germany I never got a chance to see it. They paid really good money for the 10 days that they had it and even replaced a cracked front windshield for me. I thought it was cool that they specifically wanted a cruiser and not a yeep.

Cruiser in Movie

I recently saw War of the Worlds and noticed that there was a 100 at the beginning of the Movie. Tom Cruise's character even makes a comment about how nice it is.

I seen that commercial from version, (I live in the SW) they were jumping it off a hill and the cell phone hit the windshield breaking it, (can you hear me now?).
Anyone remember this commercial? I'm sure Shotts seen it too just ask him.
OMG it got massive air!!

Glad to know that my rig held up to the massive air! I never saw the commercial but I think the story line went something like this dude who was training for a tri athalon was constantly getting calls from the frau while out and about in the wilderness in my cruiser. Everytime he talked to her he kept assuring her that he would be at this appointment that was really important to her. Well no matter where he was or what he was doing he could always be reach on his wonderful verizon phone and sure enough he made the appointment which ended up being his wife's ultra sound for their baby...how sweet, toughing...oohh. Has anyone really seen this commericial? For all I know they had my rig for 10 days making a prono or robbing banks all over the SW. I think they paid me about 1500 bucks so it was worth my time.
