You may be thinking of acme outfitters. I believe that acme is only a webfront, and that there is less activity behind the webfront now then had been in the past.

There used to be BTB in San Jose and General Truck ("John The Iranian") somewhere near but BTB moved to Nevada and General went into bankruptcy and will be moving to So. Cal. (to compete with SOR and MAF, good luck)
