new to the trailer thread.
i want to build a small on/off road trailer like i have seen on this and other sites .
i want to tow it with my 2002 landcruiser and i hope to use the same rims as the cruiser .
does anyone have a sorce for a axle with the same bolt set up or is a junk yard the way to go ?
i would rather start with somthing new.
???

thanks for any input

Search for ABC trailers for the axle. You will then need to source 5 on 4.5 to 5 on 150 (100 series) adapters. No one seems to make hubs with the right bolt pattern...yet.

Jonah, it doesn't say where you're located on your signature. 5x150mm are commonly available in Australia (100, 75/76/78/79 & 200 all use it), but they're impossible to find in the US. You could also get 6x5.5" hubs and have a machine shop weld up the stock holes and redrill them. Otherwise, as David pointed out, you have to go with adapters.

thanks i will use adaptors and some standard axle

jonah, depending on where you are located, you can check ABC trailers, or Southwest wheel is a good source for custom axles. I had Henderson wheel in Salt Lake City build mine since they are local to me. There are several good sources for axles. I think if it were mine I would build the axle 3" shorter than the intended track with and use some 1.5" spacers. Good luck.

so far all i can find are some 5 on 150 by 5 on 4 addaptors and they want 90 bucks each.

do you all think thats a ok price or should i keep looking.?

thanks
