It is a great area that the new Ranger, Bill, is working hard to keep open to ORV. The trail can be easy to as hard as you want. Camping is primitive, no showers. I was surprised that this area is not better known. Make sure you bring in all your provisions for some items are limited availibility.

where the trails get tough is there usually a way around, i used to have a heep and mudded but witht he family now i looking for something of a different type. also where are the best maps for this area?

thanks

Try checking out the expeditionportal. Once you register you can view the planned expedition threads and they contain lots of info regarding LBL and surrounding parks/trails.

Our club was at LBL last year. The trails are not that bad. There are paths to take around the area that are pretty tame. However, off the trails and your on your own. I did it in a stock 80. I'd stay away from the off trails area with a 3FE 80 and 307K miles on the clock. You don't want to tear up a tranny.

thanks for the info got any pics you are correct im not into destroying my lc sh acts like she has a lot of life yet to go

at the ranger station, there are maps of Turkey Bay. Pick one up.

If you plan to camp, pick the camp area north of Turkey Bay. The one to the south is geared toward horses.

thanks again, hopefully i can make it up next spring, is it usually busy or is it hit or miss? are there any logging type trails, not really looking for rock crawling or deep mud.
