Lame reasons for not going to FG

I know there are a lot of you on the board that aren't making it to the Fall Gathering for one reason or another. Post them up. Lets see if any of these excuses are valid.

Those of you that don't have a valid excuse ...... cough cough Wildman cough.... will probably be made fun of or ridiculed.

This is where I would like to put in a "where's pat.com" post, or talk about cape cod sand in his neather regions, but since I have been MIA from the FG for two years, I do not feel I have the right.

going to be singing a piece call Missa Gaia at St Francis the Divine Chapel for the Earth Mass in New York City all weekend.. it is my last year to do this.. but then again it might have been my last chance for a FG too..

Let's see, I had my wife rescheduled our wedding "blessing" and I'm skipping out on Saturday for a funeral, but plan to be back for the BBQ........

I am chairing a committee with faculty from 8 other colleges and universities....Working through Saturday afternoon. What's worse is that I called the meeting and the date like 9 months ago.

I am totally sick about missing my first FG where I actually have a running rig.....Stop it Rabid....I don't want to hear it.

I am sick of web-wheeling.

I can not make it even though I have paid and the reason is,that it might be raining and that means a lot of mud might get on my rig and on the driveshafts. Also there is that possability of grime getting into the clutch and screw everything up. Plus the last time I was there I could not find a carwash in town so I had to wait till I got home to wash the rig. Hope next year it is dry.

The epitome of IH8MUD. I'm not going because it's my anniversary with my beautiful girlfriend. Most of my club is going and it'd be sweet if I could accompany them, but not this year.

It'll be better next year anyway, with an OBA setup, 4.11's, an aussie and maybe even an SO.

Is this a joke or am i missing something here? Seems to me like if your worried about your rig getting dirty you need another hobby man.

p.s. ive had my truck for 6 years now and I think ive washed it never.

i moved to TX too... just south of you in Austin. So the 2,000 mile drive to NH is not in the works.

anyway... my real excuses would be that, well, as everyone knows, i am a HUGE WUSS on the trail! i build up my rig to go anywhere but alas, the HUGE WUSS factor kicks in and i dont go anywhere.
