After ~14yrs of many great & dependable journeys together I have decided to part ways and let her go to a new family that will enjoy the many many many miles she has remaining. Currently 155K miles. I bought her used in 2008 with low miles and over the last 14 years put around 120K on the vehicle as our Tahoe commuter between Auburn CA and the lake. I have serviced this vehicle at every interval and stayed ahead of maintenance items. In the last 4 years I spent a ton of time planning out the build that she is today. All the work you see here was professionally installed and I have included a summary of the recent upgrades and services below.

2021- New rack and pinion front end, new differential seals, new sway bar end links and stabilizer control link, new valve cover gasket (just started to barely weep and was noticed by my detailer), new front wheel bearing, full calibration and alignment, new battery, oil change, trans fluids, diff fluids, bleed brakes and replaced all fluids, chassis lube, air filter, cabin filter, new turn signal / corner lamps, new control arms and steering gear, torsion bar, steering knuckle.

2019 - Professionally installed lift from justdifferentials.com (super deluxe suspension kit with stock capacity springs, Icon Stage 1 shocks, Upper control arms etc.) new rod kit and trailing arm, removed lexus factory ride height control system, diff drop, pan hard etc., New muffler and exhaust system,

Late 2019 - Professionally installed 4X4 labs front + rear bumpers + rock sliders color matched to Lexus paint with nylon warn winch system. I actually had the bumpers and sliders done twice. I didn't like the original fitment and had them professionally re-fit for a more streamline and integrated look with the factory body lines. Installed integrated baja designs spot/driving combo lights ( all of this work was over $12K). New windshield to replace small sand blast chips from Tahoe freeway driving. New Frontrunner roof rack kit with bike racks. New FN Wheels and Toyo Open Country Tires Feb 2019 (approximately 11k miles on tires/wheels/lift). Reupholster front seats Jan 2019. Disk brakes upgraded to Brembo disk with newer akibono brake pads.

Late 2017 - installed Diamond audio competition audio systems over $5K that includes 3-way 6.5" diamond audio separates in each front door and 2-way diamond audio 6.5" separates in the back doors, digital signal processor, diamond audio amp, kicker sub amp, 2 kicker L7 10" subs + enclosure, sound dampening materials were installed throughout the vehicle for acoustic performance. The sound system in this rig is absolutely audiophile amazing.

I know this is a very educated forum and many of you are very familiar with the upgrades done to this build. She was just fully detailed and serviced and comes with a comprehensive bill of health report from the mechanics shop.

In the picture of the driver side, it appears the slider is bent. Is that an optical illusion or a fact?

I've driven and ridden in this truck and its an excellent example. Service record is rock solid and the color matched bumpers look even better in person. Also, the audio upgrades are impressive. I mean take this from a guy who rolls in a 62 with 300K miles, but this truck is smooth and quiet on the road.

After watching some of these builds go for big $ on BringATrailer it’s tempting to see what this build would bring on their platform. However, I am not a dealer whose in business for profit but I’m also not interested in taking a big loss for purpose of sale. If a buyer presents me a good offer and they intend on putting the vehicle to good use I welcome the discussion. This rig has gotten our small family over the summit flawlessly in very adverse conditions over many years and I’m confident she will serve the family just as well. This is a perfect tahoe rig for a family that frequents the area during the winter. There are many locals on this forum that can attest the summit is no joke during the harsher winter months and has destroyed many vehicles. The winter de-icing of the pass also takes its toll on vehicles and as you can see in the pictures I am not a fan of painting the undercarriage of my rig.

I’ve got over $45k into this build.
@dubignon - not bent. Sliders came with what they called “bump-outs”. Hope the additional pictures help.

What you have into a build and what it's worth are two very different things. Any time you sell a 17 year old modded vehicle that's been off-road you are going to take a loss. It's a very nice rig but you're not getting $45k for it. If you're interested in offers then post it on BAT. The mud for sale forum is not an auction site.

Hi Gazziza.. thanks for the comments. Just yesterday a fellow land cruiser owner informed me of this site as a friendly forum frequented by series 100 enthusiasts. So, I thought I’d give it a try and signed up. I appreciate the gentle reminder that I forgot to include this truck has never been off road. Ya, I built it to be capable of going places off road but never actually got the rig off road. Unfortunately, it’s only been driven back and forth to tahoe on interstate 80. But I’d bet it would be awesome on trails. The suspension and tire mods made a huge improvement in ride comfort and handling. Anyway, PM me if you’d like to make an offer and thanks for all the great insight!

Dude, I suggest you stop ignoring the prior suggestions and list a price. It is required or your post will likely be deleted. This is a great forum but only stays that way by people behaving within the established norms.

have a VIN available?

Hey Rube, thanks for your interest in the build. Just being transparent that I was in over $45k and that I am not interested to sell at a huge loss. A loss may look very different to one person versus another so I remain open to all reasonable offers.

Post price or ad will be taken down. Thanks.
