So I may be looking for some 285s for a Hundy and my first choice was the KO2s until Dbenke made me aware of the thread about failures and cracking. What are some good alternatives or do you think the KO2s were just a bad batch? I am considering Toyos or Nitto ATs but have no experience with any brand other than Goodyear and BFG. The BFG KO2s on the Jeep have 4000 miles and I've had no problems with them so far! Let me know what you think!!!

Got two sets of ko 2s and no cracking what so ever . I've put some miles on them also.

My KO's lasted for about 60K and still had tread when I swapped them for the Swampers. Love BFG - I run the KO2's on the 40 and I'm a fan for life. For the 100, I also have Cooper ST Maxx. They are about 3 years old and they still have plenty of tread. I've DD'd this truck for over 2 years and they bite pretty well on the trail. One thing of note, I've had (2) sets of Coopers and both sets chunked a bit... Still, I'd buy them again without hesitation.

KO2s on both cruisers and no issues. Would buy again in a heartbeat.

I'm still a BFG fan, just noting what I have heard/seen on the ONSC board.
Check out the Goodyear Duratrac, I thought they were wearing to fast, but checked the tread depth and they are not even half worn with about 25,000 mi. They are on the work van, and are loaded heavily regularly.

I was a BFG fan until I started using NITTO tires. I have had Nitto Terra Grapplers on 4 vehicles and the Trail Grapplers on my 100 series. All of them were outstanding tires and I got 60k miles on the Trail Grapplers with rotations every 4-6k miles on all five tires (reverse cross pattern). The Terra Grapplers would have been better but sold vehicles before tires got that many miles. I am going to likely go with the Terra Grapplers again.... I think they self clean better than the BFG all terrains in light mud and snow up in mountains. I think they are about same in sand and on highway to be honest. I used to like the sidewall strength and puncture resistance of the Nitto better but heard the new versions are just as tough. Time will tell.

I dont think you can go wrong with the Nitto (or Toyo) tires on a Land Cruiser.

I decided on the BFG KO2s!
