I was finishing up a knuckle rebuild today and noticed that I have misplaced the metal rings that go against the steering knuckles (the side away from the tires). These are the thin metal rings that are one piece with a cut in them so they can go over the knuckle ball. Does anyone have one handy that they could quickly measure -OD, ID, thickness- and post up?
Thanks,
Bahndo

Rock-Ring Knuckle Felt Protectors

We have had a lot of people tell us they don't like the stock inner felt plates because they are so thin and are easily damaged in the rocks. Well check out this trick solution... super heavy duty rings made from 1/8" (.125) material. Stock covers are just .040 thick. That's over three times thicker than stock! These bolt on exactly like stock units. Sold as a set of 4 plates for doing both front knuckles. Fits 1979-1985 Toyota solid front axle.

I think he is talking about the one peice ring that holds the rubber in place and not the 2 peices for the outter felts....

correct-a-mondo.. I am looking for the one piece metal ring. Called Kurt at cruiseroutitters but he is all out of the felt wiper kits til next week and I would like to get this thing going! Does anyone sell these individually? I figure they only come in kits and while they aren't that expensive they still cost some money and then there's shipping blah blah blah. Please someone with their knuckles apart read this post and take some quick measurements...
