DON'T waste money on a non OEM sensor. If you want to do that I have two that I can sell to you cheap.

reason is they don't work. There is a OEM sensor you can buy from china, there is a link floating around here. Its cheaper but still a toyota part and it works

Well I have some good news and some bad news, good news is the knock sensor is just broken and its not some other major issue. Bad news is I have to buy a new one. Thanks for your help, I love this forum!

I have two knock sensors that I'll sell you if needed. In my case, the actual sensor wiring was at fault and not the knock sensors themselves.

Which wiring sensor was your issue. I had a headgasket done and am experience the same codes as a few others on this thread. Replaced the knock sensors and the codes are still there.

This is going back aways, and I cannot remember which sensor was the culprit. Since I replaced both sensor wires going back to the ECU, my guess would be they both were the culprit in their own time.

Thanks for the information. I just ordered a new wiring harness, so hopefully this will sort out my electrical gremlins. My cel comes on for both sensors when I get above 2000 rpms. From what I read when there is a short for these sensors the ECU will retard the timing which leads to running rich and low power.
