Recently my 2005 has started blowing the mini 15a fuse under the hood for the blinkers. Ive looked at all the lights on the vehicle and they seem to be all functioning (ie couldn't see that one was out and maybe had a broken filament shorting it). When I replace the fuse, blinkers function fine as well as hazards, I pumped the breaks whey they were on and and the fuse held, only seems to blow the fuse when I lock or unlock using the keyless entry. So there is something going on with that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If I remember my problem from before. I believe they are dual filament, the orange ones. Mine was a bad socket on the bulb end side.
Also I've cut those open and traced out through the fender.
Check your bulb, dirty socket, and dirty fuse, stretched wire as it goes back into the car.
easist to buy new bulbs, all, the orange ones and the hazzard bulbs for the rear also. You'll hate yourself if you spend a few days when all it was was a bulb. You have to check the rear ones that blink when hazzard button is pushed also (same as unlock/lock click)
maybe I should have re read that. Fuse on'y blows on key fob unlock/lock press?

With multiple fuses used I’ve identified that this is what is currently blowing the fuse: L side blinker activation, doesn’t matter in what configuration the other lights are in i.e. headlamps, running lights etc.

I pulled the bulbs on the L side and continues to blow fuses. So I’m thinking it’s something more proximal than the bulbs.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pulled all the bulbs. No issues there.

Was suspect of the trailer plug as I crunched the bracket years ago but the plug itself has always functioned...and still did. So I checked the 30 amp fuse for “towing” and sure enough was blown. This is despite the the plug still working.

Replaced the 30a and the 15a and all is good for now.

Just to close the loop. Problem persisted despite changing 15a and 30a fuses. It was the trailer 7-pin relay that went bad. Above my pay grade, found a good auto electrician to track it down. 2 hrs labor and part. $180
