The truck sat for almost 6 months before I decided to start it up and pull it on a trailer to bring to the shop. I used a jump pack to get it started to get onto the trailer then jump back to get it started to get off the trailer. I replaced the battery then got a crank but no start. I noticed the 10 amp fuse for ignition under the dash was blown so I replaced it, it started for about 10-15 seconds and died and the fuse is blown again. Has anyone had this issue before? I pulled the ignition switch out and no wires looked damaged. Would the short be between the fuse and ignition switch? or faulty ignition switch? Ive ordered a new switch but just wanted to see if anyone else has ran across this problem.
