Hi folks, does anyone know if the ETCS should have permanent live connection? I've just had a look at a car (2003 2UZ petrol v8) which has an engine light permanently on, and it's blowing the 10 amp fuse for the ETCS. It gets P2118 and also the C1201 generic code. The accelerator won't go past 2000 rpm due to the limp mode, and of course no voltage is going to the throttle control because it pops the fuses. Even with the key out it still has a live connection which blows 10 amp fuses. Any suggestions what might be at fault here - is it likely the "Throttle Actuator Control Motor" has failed?
