Another plus to the hitch vault and faraday is with the 200 we could put the plastic hitch cover back on over the vault.

How many people would think to look under there? My concern with the vault is it could draw attention to something valuable in here and said thief could do something destructive to try and get to it.

How about one of those lead foil lined bags used for passing high-speed camera film through X-ray machines at the airport? Otherwise I would recommend keeping it outside, hidden, battery out.
