Mostly sick of dealing with a lifted KDSS truck, but no interest running without a sway bar. The welded sway bar is working, and no longer slips. However, I dislike the extra work with the front sway bar and LCA every time I have to wrench up there.

Debating having a shop weld mounts on the rear axle for the non-KDSS sway bar.

It looks like the front only requires tapping holes in the frame on both sides to bolts the sway bar brackets in place. The spindle has the holes for the sway bar links.

Struggling to find enough pictures of the rear to compare and verify. Is there any additional work to be done to the rear?

People been using nutsert up front.

I would use same end link style as front. The rear upper end links does not allow much articulation. The mount would be much easier too to weld a vertical tab on the frame.

Gotcha - nutsert / rivnut for the front makes sense.

To confirm, for the rear, none of the mounting points are present. The frame, for the end links, and the axle, for the sway bar, need to be added?

That doesn't seem like a terrible amount of work if I have a shop that can weld.

It might be easier to swap the whole rear axle with a non-KDSS axle housing, and then sell your old KDSS housing. The sway bar brackets on the axle housing, could be fabricated, but they are kind of an odd shape overall.

Is there an anti rock kit for the GX?

The Currie one for the FJ is ~$900 and needs to be welded to the axle. Was thinking at that point, I may as well run the factory sway.

Is anti rock better? I only know of it from the forums.

Anti rock is better off road, but won’t be as controlled on the road as front a rear sways.

I think the FJ kit is what people use.
