KDSS leak?

I'm curious when you guys with a leak pull the boot back, is there any damage to the primary shaft. I'd bet no, given how well protected it is by that boot.. which should be encouraging for your ability to rebuild the part. Then again I guess the chrome could be coming off even without contamination.

My truck has spent its entire 215k in sunny SoCal so doubting it’s pitted but will see

On keeping KDSS or deleting, discussed in some threads, I would do a lot of effort to repair and keep as I would very much miss the commanding way our vehicles go around the corner at a decent speed, which is what KDSS does day in day out.

As such please keep us posted as how you drain the system, remove and open up the actuator/cylinder, figure a repair and put it all together again.
