Was wondering if anyone has done a KDSS delete. I am about to install a lift and I'm on the fence about ripping out the KDSS while I'm in there. Went with an Ironman Foam Cell pro kit and 285/70/17 AT3's.

Why? It helps in almost all situations, both on road and off road and you'll have a bugger of a time figuring out how to disable the KDSS light on your dash!

I’ve heard of the 4runner guys removing the sway bars and tying the pistons in place. I’d just install some treaty oak spacers and call it a day, rather than go down that path.

Spacers also give you more room for a larger space tire. I used to have to cram my 32 up in there… now there’s plenty of room. A 33 might even fit but I still need to try that.

About the only change to the KDSS I'd make is this:

I know the what tire to run is an endless choice process. I’m running a Kenda 275/65/18 size. The wheel company’s are making more 18” rims now that more 18” tire options are out there. This size is OE on new Ford F 150 & F-250 trucks so there will be a lot of tire mfgs building this size. Take off Michelins are already available for a daily driver tires

How's the pricing of 18" tires for same O.D. and width of 17" counterparts?
Reason I always go with 17's is that they're generally cheaper and easier to get.

At this point they're pretty similar. My 275/65R18 Falkens are something around $230/each.
