Rookie mistake to not test things before removing parts. Also rookie mistake to drop a headlight as I took it out.

I was hoping to upgrade to the Kyoto kit from Cruiser Outiftters today but hit a snag. I had upgraded my battery cables to the heavy duty ones made by a user on here and now the cable ends in the kit do not fit over the bolts for the battery terminals. I guess the solution is to cut the wires on the clean and neat kit to anttach new ends.

Also, where are the two relays for the kit usually mounted onto the body?

While I’m at it I am going to put new gaskets behind the trim and turn signal lenses (I’m assuming they exist without buying the whole thing) because they were completely dry rotted.

As per usual, everything seems so much simpler on paper.

Depending on how much larger the terminal bolts are than the cable ends, you could just drill them out. It would be much easier than removing and replacing.

that is what I was thinking

Probably worth trying before fooling with messing up a perfectly clean wiring harness.

I've done 4 Koito H4 installs, and on all of them I had to replace the ring connectors with a bigger one. Should be able to find what you need at any auto parts store.

Just FYI , if I recall the positive wire for the H4 kit has 2 wires that need to go into the connector vs. 1 wire for the negative connector. So you may need 2 different size ring connectors.

Where do you usually mount the relays to the body?
