Ok, I just ordered the endura waterproof seat covers from www.greatcovers.com They ran 139.99 per row and I ordered the front and middle rows. They said it should take about 15 days to arrive because they have to make them first. What I'm wondering, is if I get Slee's heated seat setup, could I install them between the cover and the leather? I don't want to damage my leather as it was redone a year ago and is in good shape. I also don't want to feel the heater element in my arse during the summer months when I'm wearing less padding back there :D

Any ideas? I'll be sure to share my thoughts on the covers and the install once they arrive! Thanks

Ary

I would like to know your impression of the covers, Do they slide around alot on the leather?
Steven

Ary, great question. I was wondering the same thing. Driving to work this morning i think the leather in the cruiser was frozen solid. Heated seats were on my mind the whole drive! I was thinking of doing just the same.

Waiting to hear..............

I installed the heated seats from slee this fall. They work great. Nice warm butt on cold days. As for under just seat covers. I would be hesitant as seat covers do move around some and as the material is thin they would get very hot.
Cheers,
Sean

Sean, also, did you cover your leather or remove it and then add the seat covers with the warmers under them?

I installed the seat heaters as per the instructions included. You will need hog ring pliers and hog rings. It took a total of 6 hours. I could now do it in 4.5-5 hrs. I had never fooled with seats before. It was a bit of a pita, a 2 banana job. I removed as much as I needed and pushed, slipped the heaters in where I could. You do have to do some thinking on your own as the instructions are not step by step, but generic. They get warm in about 3-4 minutes and get hot on the high setting. I am really happy with them. A search will show various options for control mounting.
Cheers,
Sean.
