I have the SmartTap flasher relay on my GT86 and 200 and I love it! When I found out the 100 uses the same relay, I had to get one for it as well. It prevents hyper flashing when using LED bulbs, adds one touch signalling (adjustable), has cool hazard and strobe options and on certain cars, adds arrival and departure lighting (does not work on the 100 since the factory alarm flashes the parking lights, not the hazards).

Factory flasher relay location. I chose to leave it in place and just zip tie the SmartTap in there

That’s neat. I find myself tapping the signal and expecting it to stay on in the LC since I’m used to it in my work vehicle. I didn’t know they made something like this.

You mean you left the mount in place or left the factory relay plugged in?

I left the factory relay mounted to the bracket. Unplugged the connector and plugged it into the SmartTap. Nice to have the stock relay in there in case the new flasher relay dies. Just unplug and connect to the other.

@HRTROB On my 05 100 series, my factory alarm flashes using my hazards. So I think the SmartTap arrival/departure may work. I plan to order one to try it out and report back.

Thanks for the idea. Did this on mine last week since I always loved it on my German cars. PITA to get to the relay, but the Smart Tap device works great. I used VHB to tape the new relay to one of the large control boxes under the dash (I think the tilt/telescope module if I remember right). Left the old relay bolted up where it was.
