Just installed JBL GX600c components in front and 5 1/4 2 ways in the rear. They worked for 24 hours sounding great. I woke up this morning finding that my front channels are unresponsive like there is no power going to them. The rears and subwoofer are sounding great still. I am sure it isnt speaker wiring because they both worked perfect through the last moment i turned my car off last night. Could this be an amp issue? Is there a fuse I can check and replace somewhere? It seems very unusual to lose power in front but have rear functionality.

Anyone had any similar issues? Ive seen a couple other threads on similar issues but never saw an outcome.

Thanks

yea they are both 2 Ohm speaker sets so they should match the factory set up. Would it be blown if the rears/sub in back is still working? Also do you know how I would check this? I called a local shop and they want 120 bucks just to diagnose for me. No thanks to that haha.

I think factory was 8 ohm

Certain channels on amplifiers can go out independently of the others. I believe the factory system uses 2-ohm speakers all around. You can test if the speakers are the problem by connecting the old ones, or a different one.

im going to test wiring with a multimeter to save time (if wiring has no power then I know its the amp front channels). In the case that my channels on the amp are fried then what are my options. I would love to buy a 70 dollar 4 channel amp and run it without removing factory amp (to maintain climate control and Nav function). Does that sound right or am i missing something?
