we had to rush our female boxer in, her stomach turn on her.
we had been at church for about 4 hrs tonight having dinner and watching the movie "facing the giants" great movie BTW.

the vet told us that this was one of the worse cases the she has ever seen as far as a dog still being alive.

she is in surgury now and we are home waiting.

let me just give you all this testamony of faith.

God kept her alive untill we got home. the vet said another ten or fifteen minutes later and she would have died for sure.

i honestly believe the hand of God was upon her, why? who knows.

she will survive and we give it all to God and praise him for this.

Wow, that's horrible Jim!

Stomach turning? Is that like when the stomach becomes detached from the internal cavity? My mom's standard poodle had that happen, almost died, the fix was I guess to just sew the stomach to the chest cavity again...seemed odd to me, but I'm no vet...

Hope your dog recovers quickly!
 
I hope all turns out well.

That is a very serious condition, and many animals never make it to the Vet before they die.
 
or maybe God, while pleased you were at a church, believed that you were at the wrong church. Had you been at the right church, God would not have fxxxed with your dog, had you been at the porn o rama God would have smote your dog right then and there.

I hope you have learned your lesson, repent and God spares your dog.

Dude, you may not agree with the man's beliefs- but to say something like that while his dog nearly died is pretty cold, even if you were just trying to be funny.
 
He must not have a dog. Our two beagles are part of our core family. I'm glad to know that people pay attention to thier animal kids enough to know when something is wrong with them and take them to the Doctor.

Good luck. Hope all turns out ok. Just had a boxer-related vet visit too. Not as serious as yours though:( I'll keep my fingers crossed for her! (and the rest of the family)
 
Hope the dog makes a come-back!!...... my wife has been a vet tech for several years and has to deal with this quite often.... she has no clue why this happens it just does...... also in other animals besides dogs.... she explained the repair process ( with that note I better stop) because it's disgusting.... Good luck!.....

Well' she hung in there untill we got home.
we thank God for that.
but in the end, here stomach would not recover after the vet went in to turn it. she said 90% of the stomach was black and her intestines were strarting to die off also.

we went bach around midnight and put her down :frown:

That's horrible. I'm very sorry for your loss. My wife and I have had several boxers (two now) and love them, but we've also had to go through what you just did. It is like losing a child. Our thoughts are with you.
