Just changed O2 sensors... (1 Viewer)

...and the CE light stayed on. I had been getting the PO420 code. Question is, should the light have automatically gone off, or would I have had to drive around awhile before it cut off? I went ahead and reset it. Guess I will have to wait and see if it cuts back on, then examine what to do with the cats.

Sorry to ramble, but should the light have immediately cut off?

I'm certainly not a tech resource, but I seem to recall reading that it takes a few cycles before the light will go off on it's own, like maybe 3.....

I would guess since you reset it, you should be good to go...

I manually reset mine after the cat and O2 instal and all was well after the reset. I bet yours will be o.k.
