Tonight is Ghostbusters. Really hard game to find now - especially with the Ecto-1 topper.

I thought cruisers were an addiction…

Cool collection for sure

@greenbeast I’m truly way more serious about my arcade collection.

I just bought this Track and Field cocktail machine. It showed up at Pinfest in PA this past weekend and I was able to (1) buy it and (2) have it hitch a ride from someone that happened to also be in PA and headed back to FL. I met the guy in Lakeland on Saturday night.

I hung most of the video gaming growing up after my dad beat me on the “Intellivision” baseball.

Tried again when the wife and I had impulse buy during my first year Med school. We could barely afford to feed ourselves but 007 was calling when we were walking around the store one night.

I do admit that the Galaga (sp) and those nostalgic pinball machines are pretty cool. Dad is 80 now so I might be able to be him…

Man when I was growing up, me and my buddies would walk 2 miles to the local arcade and play PB for hours. Good times!

So with all this pinball talk going on, what is the best way to acquire these? New or used?

@Crush 4 it depends. The best way is certainly to buy a new one but most of these titles are no longer produced. You can sometimes find an older game that’s new in box since people will buy games and hold to sell or trade later. I recommend finding a distributor that is somewhat local to you and work with them to find games you want. They will sometime take older titles on trade and then you can pick up those games. Much like cars, the prior owner can either be good or bad.

Tonight is Iron Maiden. Very fun game. I acquired this recently when I bought a four game collection. I had my tech look it over today and install some new lighting. Good to go now.

Out of curiosity, is the goal as you acquire these to master them, in terms of scoring or some other metric ?
You got me thinking I need to buy some for my barn

I don’t really worry so much about mastering the game. I usually buy games because I like the theme or I’ve heard that they are fun. Sometimes I end up liking games that other people hate and hating games that other people like. For example, Jurassic Park is one of the most highly rated games out there right now and I am not a fan.

I would try to find a place near you that has some modern games and play a few before you buy one.

Tonight is Stranger Things. This was my first limited edition Stern game. I bought it brand new and - at the time - distributors had a hard time selling them. Fast forward to now and this is one of my more valuable titles and it has easily doubled in value. Not sure if that will hold or not but it’s a crazy fun game to play. I was able to set my highest score tonight due to trying a new game strategy from the very beginning.

Made it through Hurricane Idalia generally unscathed. We are on generator power for the foreseeable future but overall in good shape. I was panicking around midnight last night when the storm was seemingly unconcerned with taking that right turn. Seemed it’s high speed was going to carry it pretty close to me. She finally made the turn around 5 am and glanced off to the east.

I am pretty much done with the interior. The exterior only needs the porch columns to be wrapped. That has been delayed due to the sawmill but the wood landed today and columns will be done next week. I’m so tired of writing checks.
