With this weekend being NC's version of a monsoon. It made me wonder what Uwharrie would be like to ride in the middle of it. We all know its completely different when its wet, but I cant imagine what it would be like if it got 8+ inches in a couple of days. Makes me want to go down there to find out.

IH8MUD We'll be slogging it on foot at the Overland Expo on Sat

Take this for what its worth, but WRAL is predicting 10-15 inches down that way. Good luck my friend.

There's a reason why this site is called ih8mud,lol.

If we are getting 10-15 kind of rain I'll be staying close to home

How about this for a completely ridiculous prediction (I was guessing Greensboro got a 1 and 2 transposed but then there's Martinsville with 14")

Which is funny because that is why I avoided this site for years and was only on TN and Yotatech. I assume it was only for those who like rock crawling. Personally, I love off roading in mud. Makes things interesting.

I generally avoid URE when it's wet. Even the washout hills get tricky as you come down and start to slide sideways. Entertaining for sure but can be nasty.

Harlan in the mud is similar, can get some serious seat creases on some of the descents.

Well it looks like Ramon's and Jon's videos have been pulled. The bobsled run will never be forgotten though :grinpimp:

Took us like an hour and a half to get the group of built trucks across a 1 foot tall water bar in the trail last year in the rain. No thanks.
