Warrenton car show today was awesome. We sold 36 raffle tickets. People were generous, friendly, and extremely supportive of the raffle and Fischer House particularly. It was a steady flow of sales all day and after we packed up, we still sold 4 more from people not wanting us to leave.

Sat June 28th we are going to do a morning wheeling run at Red Cloud, then have a lower key, informal party afterwards for anyone related to the club at my house in Alexandria. Everyone is still welcome to show up who doesn't wheel, and bring family, but we are just gonna keep it simple. Bring what you want to BBQ and sides/salads to share. Club will likely provide the beer. I need to arrange the wheeling group with Red Cloud, so it's very important to at least have a ball park head count. Probably check in around 9 and hopefully wheel by 10. Post up if you are in and I'll call to arrange.

I'll try and make the wheeling.
According to RedCloud's website, there's a jeep event going on that day so that would limit our number to around 20 or so.

When i checked last week, it was an open day, so the listed Jeep event seems new. I will call tomorrow and see what the options are. we really need people to post that they are participating. I cant reserve a block of people on spec. I am just going to try and reserve 5 spots, to get the foot in the door, amd then people can add on after that by calling directly and saying they are additional to the CLCC group. This is perhaps something that people can join last minute, but its a small place and when they fill its done. If you want in, you need to make your reservation as it inside of two weeks away.

I'm in.

This is a great opportunity for those club members who are novice wheelers or have never taken their truck off road to come out, learn some techniques and find out just what your truck is capable of. We are shooting for a fun, low key informative day on a convenient wheeling spot. Then hang out with some food and drink outside of the monthly meeting.

Ok, here's the deal. I can't reserve any spots without fronting the $40 registration for each vehicle. Everyone needs to call Red Cloud Directly and soon to guarantee a spot. Office number is 703 359 6900 and it takes a few minutes and a credit card charge of $40. As soon as the remaining 20 spots fill it's lights out and you will miss out. The woman in the office is very accommodating and will email all the forms that need to be turned in on wheeling day. Tell her you are with the Capital Landcruiser club group. Chop! Chop! Gentlemen, this should be a lot of fun! 9am is our planned meeting time in Woodbridge.

RCOR staff said we can meet at the trail head as long as we have the forms printed and signed. We can get the forms from their website.

...but those attending still need to call the number and pay first.

Thanks Tikicruiser for setting this up! I mentioned the CLCC club and the lady had the date and details of the ride.

Small twist to the red cloud run. Jesse the manager called me back, and said the private jeep group was upset she was letting another club out during their private event. I told her it's listed as a private event on the red cloud website, but shows additional trucks welcome to register. She apologized for the website error, but said the Jeep club was promised exclusive access, and we could go any other day we wanted. I told her that wouldn't work. Long story short, I begged and negotiated with the jeep club people, and got permission to have a group of 5 trucks max. Right now we have me, stump and Austin. There are two more spots for the taking, and that is it, so if you want it move fast. First two to register get the spots. All welcome for the party that afternoon. I have a friend riding shot gut in my forty, but stump or Austin might have passenger space.

Gonna get some extra Heep hate on just for them. I gotta find one of those "stickers while you wait" trailers and get some bumper stickers made like: "I was gonna buy a jeep but then my balls dropped" or "Jeep: It's the perfect 1/2 assed 4x4 for a dip**** like me who whines about everything when it doesn't go my way and then I cry until I get my way, or at least I'll hold a grudge because, well, I'm a big pussy." That last one is a little long but... sigh

Somebody please get ofer to Stump's as soon as possible to untwist his shorts.

If you get stickers made,I'll take one of short version.

We will tool them up once we are onsite, because we don't give a s***, but for now we have to pretend to play nice. We still have two spots open for whoever wants them. If you call and are number six, just ask nicely and remind Jesse you are ready to pay. I can't imagine they will turn cash down. This is a bull**** dog and pony show that I think can be manipulated as need be, but if we don't post more than 5 guys it won't matter.

They call these tailgate stickers!
Just got my stearing arms today and won't be able to make it.
