Guess i should start a thread.
1996 t100 extended cab, 4x4, manual trans, 3.4 v6, 270,000+ miles

really needed cleaning, waxing and simple repairs, along with some bigger projects like the 3rd gear syncro and the trashed hood.

plans: supercharger, 5.29 gears, elocker third, better clutch, long travel with working 4x4 on 35’s, rear deaver f55 pack and king shocks all around. Long travel is a mix of total chaos and a one off kit out of chomolly

right now i am just fixing what is wrong with it, prepping my long travel(it needs powdercoat). Needs door panels to be upholstered along with top of the center console on the 60/40 split. Original seats are intact and good shape, just need cleaning.

Paint is some macco special, it will likely get repainted. Maybe cement grey.

Got a lot of parts in to do the rear suspension. Giant motorsports shackle kit, total chaos leaf hangers, barnes 4x4 axle perches, u bolts and a bunch of tabs/tube ends and miscellaneous fab stuff.

since ALL of tge key cylinders in this truck are dead, i bought oem complete kit. Fuel door, doors and ignition. Need to install.
Traded a gun for some rear shocks, these should get the job done.

That thing is gonna be awesome. 🍿

This ever make progress?
It moved to my new shop, drove it for 3.5 hours loaded up full of fabrication and suspension parts.

Here it is with the bed back on and it on its own legs, strangely i don’t have any pics of it from the side, just videos of my first drive. I am a month away from my move, then i gotta unpack, then its back on the truck.

Got some 315/70-17 take off tires from a trx, then some snowflake 4runner wheels. $1,000 for 5 total, pretty happy about my purchases.

Updates!!! Took longer than expected on my move. This is just mockup. Took all the droop and bump stops, trimmed off shock mount, i will have to remove and weld alll that up, paint and reassemble. These are internal bump stop kings(dont match the rear brand) but i have 2.0 fox bump stops for up there as well. I need to make up hoops, get the hubs bollted on and axle shafts from total chaos installed. I will have to trim the in er fenders are rework the cab some to fit the 35’s, i am looking for maximum travel as long as the cv will allow. Fiberglass fenders will be last to install.

I have both of the front and rear differentials to install, they have 5.29 and lockers in them. Already rebuilt the new to me asin locking hubs.

Didn’t get pics, but total chaos doesn’t make a king kong crosslink for t100’s, only minis, so i mimicked theirs along with the pitman arm which i ordered an aurora 7/8” uniball kit for 5/8 bolt, fabbed that in and gusseted the sides similarly to tc. Tested late last night for function and its working as it should. Gotta love toyota and their cast iron products being able to accept weld.
