Planning on it

i plan to be there....meet at the outpost at 8?

Here is the info from Terry.

1. Rocky Mountain Loop Trail – install 3 sections of guardrail. Two will be extending existing guardrail and one would be new installation. These 3 sites are very close to each other. We will need to transport/drag a total of 6 long (25 ft) rails and 7 posts. We’ll have a Bobcat & Auger lined up for that day thanks to the many clubs and volunteers that have donated money for the rental. For this project site we’ll be heading in from the Dutch John Trail.

2. Dutch John Trail – install several sections of guardrail. The guardrail and posts are already on site. This will be finishing up the guardrail work that was begun last year but we had a mishap with the old auger. We’ll be using our newer hand augers and our muscles to install these at the bottom of the hill climb on Dutch John Trail near its intersection with Slab Pile Trail.

As everyone can see we are trying to do alot this go around. So i would really like to see a GREAT showing from us as a group please.

Don't want to commit until Moonshine is 100%, but if she is, I'll be there.

Evan will be coming with me, so we will have a trash collector/ helper

OK, as of this time we have no funds for the Bobcat as i just found out from ELi. From the looks of the cost breakdown it is costing us too much from the place he is getting it from. But i am by no means an expert on renting a 700 series Bobcat.

What's he getting charged? We can do some shopping.

It is costing him about 480 for everything out the door. That is a 700 series ( think 724) , auger, bucket, insurance and the likes for Friday thru getting turned in on Monday morning.

The couple of places I've found thus far say anywhere between $190 and $250 a day for just the skid steer. Doesn't seem like a weekend, with insurance and attachments, is a bad deal at $480.

Haven't called any places yet though.

Just have money bags mike buy one

Can we mount an auger on your mower?

We don't need a whole skid steer just for the auger attachment, since that's about all it was used for anyway. Why not just rent a gasoline auger? Two people to man it and presto, the holes are dug nice and easy.

How many holes you tried to dig up there with a 2 man let alone a one man ?

None. I'm sure it's rocky and tough going, but if you can't afford the skidsteer with auger, a gas powered auger is certainly better than the pickaxe, maddox and digging bar route :D

I cannot make it. We're moving our office this weekend. I think I'd rather dig holes for the posts with a manual post hole digger than coordinate the move of a 20 person office ....
