No pictures, but here are a few updates:
Jrob and Bodean created templates for frame reinforcement plates for the inner and outer frame rails up front, and cut them out of 3/16" material. The smaller inner plates were drilled for additional plug welds, and the outer plates were drilled with much larger dimple die style holes. Jrob has welded in the inner plates and begun welding up the outer plates.
We cut all the brackets off the rear 80 housing and started grinding away at what was left behind. Not quite done yet...a task equally miserable, I'd say, to assembling a set of beadlocks.
Last night was spent double/triple checking a lot of the measurements and tweaking the calculators. It should be dialed in well enough now to start tacking in brackets for mock up.
Hopefully the new housing will show up soon. If it doesn't, there's still a lot that can be done - rear axle needs to be pulled out, rear spring and shackle hangers need to be cut off, rear frame needs to be cleaned up and prepped for reinforcements, both of the 40 axles need to be torn down so the thirds can been removed in preparation for the transplant, etc.
I'll get some pictures of the Jrob FAB tonight.
