HOAs are more often than not a way for folks that have little to no power in their lives to have some power. I was always amazed at how fast an HOA formed in a new development when I was building houses. Had one lady on an HOA board come into my construction trailer one day and start telling my how I had to clean up around my office trailer and fenced in storage yard according to their new HOA rules. I kicked her out of my trailer. Started finding notes in my mail box from her and other HOA members. So I had contractors start parking their stationary equipment in front of her house, just leaving her driveway open. That fixed the problem :)

As the current VP of my HOA, I do not take the iron fist approach. Instead, I lead by setting the example for the other residents to follow:

I don't want to grow up, I just want to be Dave :)

But you is smarticus, who else has a dozen different vehicles and sharing one oil filter?

Weekend again and time to figure out this paint thing. Took me a while, but got the sequence to work out. Dry sand with 600 and 1000, then wet sand with 2000 and 3000. Clean up well and rotary compound with Meguairs 105, then rotary polish. Used both a 3” and 6” diameter head on the rotary and finally came out more betterish. Then a good wash with dish soap to remove the splatters and top off with wax. Took me all weekend and everything hurts.

The CDL. It had quit about a year ago and I had replaced with an used one from cruiser brothers, I think. Anyway, had put it away in a box and forgot about it until recently, found it and took it all appart. Cleaned all the crud out, sanded and removed the rust out of it. Basically Krud remover, toothbrush, emery paper, electrical cleaner. Then cleaned and reglued the magnets and tested the motor and it ran great! So put new grease on it, new motor o-ring and painted the motor cap. For the body cap, I tried a couple of o-rings and this one fit perfectly. Used some plumbers grease on the o-ring and it look like a great waterproof seal.

So now I have a spare....

Has been 6 years since I did the front end seals, this time was a lot easier than the first, used Terrain Tamer kit (to see what they are all about). No birf soup this time, but the diff fluid was a bit goopy so grease was getting back in there instead of oil mixing with the grease. The kit was pretty good and had the 54mm nuts and hardware, koyo bearings. The 43 is next....
