That looks awesome! I want one. Gotta convince my wife that it's more important than house renovations.

OFF-ROAD PICTURES:

Yezz Reffug, I am lucky. This thing rocks! Here's some off-road shots from last weekend. BIG improvement over the stock bumper with the lower recovery hooks and spare tire. VERY HAPPY:

Ya know an 80 would have actually climbed the rock, instead of posing for a picture......

Hee Hee! The rock was no big deal. Just some side-sliding while climbing. There were other trails in that OHV area that were quite tough!

Here's the rest of the "bumper pics":

I was going to put this in the FAQ but the photos are gone.
Shotts?
(time to buy a star?)

What's a star?

It goes by name when you pay for an official membership to the site. You'll get so many MBs of upload space too. :D

Greg B - I don't think there's anything wrong with your account. The pics were most likely deleted by the poster.

Those with free memberships have limited space allocated for pictures, PMs, etc. Those who pay for annual memberships (a very reasonable amount) get more picture space, more PMs, etc. ...and other occasional goodies.

BTW, welcome aboard :flipoff2:

Thanks for the aftermarket porn. That thing is bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbaaaaaaaaad!

Have any shots of it completely submerged, except for the snorkel? You aren't responsible for the mysterious Locke Ness photos, are you?

John,

That looks great! Is this a newer version than the one on Christo's website? I like this one better.

Also, did you pick the location of the license plate? Or, does it have to be there?

How do you like the rear tire carrier? Does it stay put, when in the unlocked/open position, when on a slope? Or do you have to hole it open while you deal with the lift & tail gate?

John's was the first of the production run. Little changes here and there. The license plate light is in that spot. Obviously you can put it where you want', but that spot seems to work the best. As for staying open, it has a spring loaded pin that keeps it open.

Christo did make some minor changes on the actual production model (like mine). You see it as he will sell it (well...I painted mine). It's rock solid. I've already pulled out a Tahoe with it (using the receiver hitch gizmo I bought).

The tire carrier is also very stout. Nothing makes any noise which suits the silent 100 just fine. I was concerned about that. It opens and closes safely because the "pin" pops into pre-cut holes depending on direction. It stays in place once the pin pops into the hole. Great design.

One note for you "hawkeye's" out there (Christo was a hawkeye on his own product and pointed this out to me based on my pictures before I noticed!). If you see the driver's side gap between the bumper and the body trim it's not parallel like the passanger side is. This bumper fit well on both sides of Slee's truck, it didn't on my passenger side. There is some up-down adjustment for trim though I didn't have enough to make that driver's side match. I am going to fix that though. I need longer bolts and some spacers to pop in between the bumper and the frame.

Since I know pics fall short on "effect"....let me point out that Slee hit it right-on. This bumper is the perfect combination of looks and four-wheeling design. The clearance is hugely improved. To further improve that we cut my rear tail pipe down so it woudn't drag. Comments from bystanders have been outstanding about the looks. Slee's going to sell a boatload of these. I'm lucky I got mine now! Maybe that's why he wants me to bring the 100 to Moab? :D
