It's kinda quiet around here

It may be quiet online, but there is definitely some action going on.

Steve (FL Cruiser) and Dominick (super40) checked out a rusty 100 series, and Dominick Mud-shipped Steve’s new fuel tank for the crawler to Orlando for me to weld up.

I guess we’re just radio silent..

Thanks Matt! Hopefully you can work around my not so straight cuts and backyard fabrication techniques.

And yes, if anyone sees a white 100 for sale in Clearwater, don't even bother. It is HORRIBLE ! A total waste of time to go look at. Frame is so rusty you could poke holes in it with a screwdriver.

I need to visit the clubhouses more and catch some meets and events. I’m up in the panhandle. Saw @Oscar Witte post in the 80 swap thread and see he is a Floridian also. Looks like @cruisermatt is working on a swap too

Here’s my junk

Yeah, I’ve been looking at your swap posts. Good stuff.
Oscar and I should start threads in here.

I am collecting pictures and notes as I go, I plan I posting a thread once it's running.

That will be one nice Troopy when you're done with it.

My stepdad in Costa Rica has one. He is a 120 lb Chinese dude. It has manual steering. He is getting up there in age and is barely able to drive it anymore, but he won't part with it.

That’s awesome. They are pretty fun for sure. I own two of them now and probably need to sell one of them. But I just can’t bring myself to pick between them.

Hey all! I’m admittedly not too active on the site. My “patina-green” 96 LX450 is my DD, might have seen me hauling my 3 1/2 yr old twins around. They love it.
My 1970 FST is basically just stored in my shop in Gainesville (directly next door to Deo’s LC Junktion). Just bought a house in S Tampa, so gonna swap the huge anti-inversion shackles for stock and hopefully will clear the garage door. Then I’ll be able to drive it a lot more.
I’ve cut my hours back at work (at a bike shop) to spend more family time so I’m down to meet and cruise!

Fixed, It just occurred to me, going back a few months ago I was supposed to get back with you on some Cruiser wrenching. It slipped my mind. I apologize. PM me if you got anything going on.

Dude no worries. Took a day and drove back to Gainesville and knocked out the oil change and Deo and I determined My LX had a dry u-joint. Rejuiced it and squeak went away but need to get new ujoints installed soon. I’ll PM ya for info.

Having a whole new rear built with a fuel cell in back and hopefully room for future seat for the boys.

Mike M. is going to go pick up the rub - the floor was still nicer than most, and the inner fenders were salvageable. The rest was toast.

I had a new set of 16" ORIs. Links ended up at about 40.5 for uppers and 41.5 for lowers, at about 110" overall (+14 from where I was with flipped front and rear springs). Hoping to retain sidehills stability while mixing my issues with steep climbs.

It’s a good thing you’re a nimble guy Bill. Getting in and out of that thing is going to be fun.

I've finally got my garage squared away and materials on hand to start fabbing my step/sliders. Anxious to really put my new Miller to the test. I'm also dreaming up a way to mount them such that nothing protrudes below the frame rail and they are easily removable for repaint/repair down the road. I very much dislike the standards available from the online retailers so I bought a DIY prebent kit from XO-Fab.

I also have a new liftgate/tail gate assembly coming to replace mine while has developed a rather large rust hole (in keeping with the theme of my rusted out trap). More updates to come as I start the pipe fitting!
