What an awesome trailer! Did you fabricate it? How much weight will it carry? Talk about it a bit, please.

Yep I fabricated it pretty much copying Wildyoats, Box Rocket, and other great builds on here. I used a #3500 axle from ABC trailer parts with monroe shocks and Lock and Roll's new and improved trailer coupler. Just a simple offroad utility trailer for hauling camping, mining, whatever gear......

Really sharp. The tow rig is pretty attractive, too.

Very nice, I've seen this before before you painted it I think.
Do you have a link to purchase the Lock'n Load hitch? It looks like you have some kind of liner in it, plastic sheeting? More details would be great.

Looks like lock and rolls website is down. The interior is just the primered back side of the aluminum diamond plate with a plywood floor. I was thinking of doing bed liner or something later.

That is sweeet! Great build!

Cheers!

very nice build sir!!!!!

Oregon, Very nice and clean..

Did you get the electric brakes on the axle from ABC?

J

Thanks for all the kind words.

No electric brakes, its pretty light and I doubt I ever haul more than 500lbs or so at a time.

It amazing how handy having a little trailer is. The paint is barely dry and I'm using the heck out of this thing around here.
Next mission is to haul a spare 2F to the machine shop :):)

Very sharp, excellent work. I'm planning on building two trailers over the winter and will very likely plagiarizer yours, Wildyoats, and BoxRocket's builds for ideas. Do you have more pics of your fenders and how you mounted them?

I got the fenders from etrailer.com. Pretty flimsy really.. I just stubbed some 1 inch tubing off the trailer frame with some spacers added and they firmed up ok. I could put my weight on them now and not worry too much. I used 2 1/2" flat bar to help fill the gap between the fenders and trailer.

Very nice. Any science to the length of the hitch?

Not really, just wanted to be able to swing 90 degrees and clear the back of the cruiser. Seems to follow and back ok as is, but I could shorten it a little I think. The hitch part is a big ole' heavy thing. When I talked to the manufacturer they said they had to re-design them because they were failing during backing/jacknife situations.

Yep, somewhere on this HD I have the pic of one that failed like that. Was posted to Expo and I wanted it for future Ref.
