That looks nice, but i need something different .

Was able to put some weight on the bed and stitch weld the entire length of the back and front plate

Then put my Harbor Freight pipe bender to use

Then bent alittle more pipe for some rails.I keep saying pipe but it's really seamless tubing.

Added the back plate that will house the lights and license plate.

The color of the bed looks weird because I put a coat of Rustoleum rust inhibitor on the whole bed.

That is some good work Albert ! You need some tie down spots .

SWEEEEEEEET...... what size pipe on the harbor freight bender? I almost bought one there before the holidays and I thought it didn't look up to the task you have me second guessing now. :hhmm:

Thanks guys. I have the running/tail lights figured out with a single waterproof light fixture on each side (without the blinkers blinking fast). Then add the reverse lights and license plate bracket. And build a new back bumper with receiver to bolt on the truck.

It's the 12 Ton bender.Bought it on sale before the holidays. I was surprised how strong it was. The same type is what I used to bend my front bumper. The tubing that was used to build the bed was almost a 1/4" (.20) thick with an O.D. of 1 3/8".

That thing looks heavy. If you need a hand to put on let me no .

A little prep work for the flat bed.

1st coat of paint, well primer then I'll get the black put on when it warms up.

While waiting for the paint to dry I decided to put alittle more work in to the truck. Knowing I had brake issues I put my rebuild axle shafts from my other other project on Cracker. The 85 axle shafts have new bearings, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, springs clips and turned drums with 50 miles I put on them and how ever many Josh put on them on the Cruiser Crawl trip.Basically new.

Then after prying, beat the old front calipers off I put a set of new front caliper with pads. The master cylinder / brake booster got swapped out for a spare one I had also. There was a lot of mud/rust in those calipers.Really had to do this to the truck since it was the only way to get it home.

Put the bed back on the truck to free up the parking spot for my wife to get her car back under the garage. My projects can take up space but not to muck of her space :D.

It has primer on it and moves and stops on it own with emergency brakes now. This gives me some time to start finding what I need for a back bumper, mud flaps, and wiring for the lights.Sure was fun to drive the truck back home with small tires no bed and use 5th gear :steer: :D

Enjoy watching the progess buddy, keep up the good work, and holla if you need some help.

Thanks for the offer I will defiantly take ya'll up on the offer for help. John thanks for the calipers I turned them in for cores on the new ones so I have I still have a set if you need some. Was a funny sight last night driving the truck home last night from Mickey's picture a white truck no bed, tail lights, license plate, front windshield busted all up, no inside or dash lights  . Rolling 5th gear but I had new brakes.

Albert, it sure looks awesome and you made it look simple.. (we all know that's not even close to being the truth)...

It looks just great.
