Getting ready for up comming rides. Time to get rid of the lift blocks and install some rear F-150 pick-up springs, move the front and rear spring hanger as well as relocate the rear shocks.( Thanks John, Kyle for the help in getting this done)

...do you think you can move those seats back 3" also??? It's a tight fit for those at 6'6" ;) (I got dibs on the night ride seat...lol)

And a picture of my co worker that has to always be helping me :D always always follows me to the door of the garage to help. She will just sit and watch all that is going on. She rode with us the whole time in Texas with her harness on and will have her harness on for the Arkansas trip :). I see why they say their mans best friends.

We can make you a center console now, maybe one that will hold a small dog :hhmm:. The shorter seats should help when getting in. How did the AC controls work out?

:hhmm: If I push the seats 3" back would we just not be riding in a Troopy? I'm starting not to hit my head as much getting in and out also.(You should appreciate that also :D). The night ride seat is not a problem.
 
Albert, I like the work you have done on your truck. Marty and I have added some things to keep up with you. Martys now got 37's on his 80 and we getting started putting in 5:29's. I just went to longfields, 4:56 and frt and rear lockers so we should be able to wear out you brakes next time since that was the only way to slow you down. see ya soon

White Trash AKA "Cracker" clean up

Kind of got tired of seeing the truck siting with no bed on it and not having an abundance of money left over from the holidays decided to start scrounging up so metal to build a bed for the white truck.


This is what it looked like with a typical rusty Toyota bed

So it's time to round up some iron, square tubing,angle iron, dimand tuck flat plate. Not able to buy brand new but I think it will clean up for the project.

Had to cut the flat plate and knowing I can not cut a straight line decided to cheat with some angle iron and "C" clamps.Sure saves alot of clean up time with the grinder.

Thanks guys it's something to tinker with instead of house work/chores (glad my wife doesn't read this forum :))

With the new flat bed it will only 3" shorter than a factory bed and hopefully serve it's purpose for a cool little run around truck.


I also picked up some tubing to bend and make some sides. The back of the bed will need a drop section attached coming down to hold the tail lights and license plate(kind of like a hotshot flat bed but not really).
My plan is to have the bed hold the tool box (which is WAY bigger than I thought it would be 5' 1" wide) and lights/license plate . Then have a bolt on rear bumper with receiver plate to protect the bed.Not sure if it will turn out like I have it envisioned in my head but will give it a try.
