It finally rolls and moves again. No wobbles, minimal vibrations, surprisingly quiet Swampers, though they are new.

Now on to the winch mount and other body protection.

Look LTBish to me.

I have been torn between the 34x10.50 LTBs and 34x12.50 TruXus MTs for a while now.

If I get a 3rd vehicle for the commute the LTBs win.

The tires are 36/12.50 radial Swampers on the stock wheelys. I find New England trails tend to have fewer bottomless mud bogs. You can usually dig down and grap some nice rocks left by the glacier or some tree roots.

Wow! That looks killer! We should hook up sometime and wheel.

Forgive me if you stated in another post but what suspension mods did you make?

The springs are 850J in the front, 863 in the rear. Koni 30 series mono tube 10" travel adjsutable dampers, spec'd for a Ford F150/250. Caster adjustment bolts. All bump stops dropped about 2", lower shock mount up front raised 2", rear upper shock mounts dropped 2". Slee HD tie rods. Will probably install a 26 series Koni steering damper.

Oh yeah, still need to flex it out and see what needs to be trimmed...

Wrench, you better get that recently finished rig back on the trail soon dude. We are going to PAP this weekend, then Dave's on Mem Day.

bjowett,
Huge favor to ask. Hope ya don't mind.

Since your front bumper is currently off, would you measure the inside of the front of DS frame rail? I'm looking for inside dimensions HxW and also wondering how far back from the front is the last tapped hole?

You mind doing this for me?

I forgot to do this and just put mine back on tonight. :whoops:

Thanks

LOOKIN GOOD.... more info on shock mounts if you got em............ New shocks and mounts is my next big mod...... Very nice work... I like the direction that yoru rig is going.....

Looks badass! More pics, more pics!!

Ditto here.

The drivers rail inside dimensions are 2"W x 3.75"H. The furthest back/last tapped hole is on the bottom and measures about 5.75" back, next hole is on top @ 3 3/8" and one on the outside is 3".

The rear shock mount extension is simple... to drop the upper mount you need 4 bolts that are 2" longer (or however far you'd like to drop) than the current bolts. 2 spacers built from round or square stock, I actually had a couple of HD nylon spacers which are similar to body lift blocks. Unbolt the upper mount, drop it down, stick spacers in, run bolts through and fasten.

The front is round stock with a mount on top that adapts to a lower eye. The bolt that holds it to the lower mount runs right up through where the stock stem mount previous was. I'll snap some pictures.

More pictures later this week. Thank you for comps.

Dude I'll be at Dave's. I looking forward to it! Must take revenge on Elevator Shaft.

bjowett - big thanks for the measurements. Greatly appreciate it.

Wrench - glad to hear you'll be there. Anxious to see your truck in person again.

Great! I will be glad to see you again and your 80. And what about OMD?

Yeah, he'll be there. Talked to him last week. Should be a good showing and Dave did a lot of work on trails. He mentioned it was dug out to pure clay on some like Gnarly with Rocks (the steep hill climb in the back), so it should be interesting.
