Wow, reality check! does one really need 60+ flat blade screwdrivers - not counting other kits with many bits... And don't get me started on the Gunsmithing ones in all thicknesses and widths... (Those are something else though, true boner material for gearheads, trust me...) Disturbing... :)

And 20 needle-nose pliers, really?

A sick puppy I tell you, a sick puppy...

:D

Seriously, time to let go of a couple dozens... Running out of space (and self-rationalization)

Thats a few more needle nose pliers than you should require.

If you want to make space you should consider filling some tool bags for your kids or neighbours kids vehicles. Its nice to have separate tool kits, one in the shop and one in your DD and one for the wheeling rig, otherwise its never around when you need it.

hmmm... DD. That's a thought. I always some tools in the Cruiser but yes a few in the DD would be good too. Thanks, good suggestion. So that's a couple screwdrivers. 50 more to go.... :)

Basic tools in every car all the time is ideal. Then there is the tool box for the tent trailer. And the one I put together to keep at Mom's house.

It this was SChat, I'd have a few more suggestions outside of the ones already mentioned.

I to have 'retired' excess toolage to separate kits in the garage and the cruiser.

I may have you beat on the screwdrivers, but I'm a little more eccentric. I'm a fan of Sap-ons ratcheting screwdrivers. I have about three of them, but they aren't cheap by any means. They are hands down the best screw driver you will ever own. That doesn't touch on the Matco and Mac sets I've acquired through the years. You definitely have me beat with the plier collection.

Go check out The Garage Journal board. Guys on there collect SO screw drivers based purely on the color. That's a true sickness.

I'm currently branching out into table vises and bench grinders now. I guess tools in general are a sickness. Right next to the vehicles we buy which require to have the proper tools to keep them on the road. It's a viscous cycle.:hillbilly:
