Issues installing a brake controller

I'm trying to install a brake controller to use while towing a travel trailer this summer. The vehicle has a hitch and an 8 pin connector that works (I hoked it up to the trailer to test the lights). I then bought a harness from etrailer

After watching the video they provided (on an '04 4runner) I figured the install should be the same on an '07 GX. Well, not so much.

After taking off the kick plate I can't seem to locate the female plug for the brake controller harness???

The video shows a plug that is hanging in mid air not connected to anything. Everything under the plate is already connected, can't seem to find the female plug for the harness???

Anyone have any suggestions? Should I be looking elsewhere? Or is this not equipped with the proper plug needed for a brake controller?

Never mind. I found the plug under the steering wheel.

Had to remove the panel under the dash, cut the connector loose and it worked.
