Is this the head gasket leaking? (1 Viewer)

Wondering if anyone could tell me if this is head gasket or tappet cover gasket leaking. Excuse my ignorance if those are the same thing. Engine is the 1HD-FTE.

That would be your valve cover gasket. The head gasket is the one between the block and the head.

EDIT: I'm not sure if this is a South Africa vs. USA thing, but the valve cover and tappet cover are the same thing.

Not super familiar with the diesels, but if its any help and anything like other Toyota inline 6's, that "tappet cover" replacement is a pretty straightforward job
