What is leaking (1 Viewer)

Hi guys. It’s me again. Went through a puddle, there just so many start to leak. This locate in the transmission section. How much big trouble am I in.

looks like engine oil, remove plastic cover and look inside.
could also be from above on the engine, valve cover gasket?

going thru a puddle will not cause a leak

take that cover off there, and shine a flashlight up on your flexplace/ torque converter to see if it's wet with oil. It could be just valve cover gaskets leaking down, or it could be the rear main seal

Thank you for clarifying. Yes I do have a bad valve cover looking to replace. Will this cause oil leaking in this part of the transmission?

just because you see the drips, doesn't mean that is where it is leaking
you need to figure out where it is coming from
is it engine or is it trans?
remove the inspection cover and look inside, if it is dry, then it is not where the leak is coming from

Thank you for clarifying. Yes I do have a bad valve cover looking to replace. Will this cause oil leaking in this part of the transmission?

Yes a leaking valve cover can run down into this area.
