I have a 2008 and don't have a manual for the navigation system. Is it even possible to upload contacts to this or is this just obsolete technology now?

obsolete or not depends on whether you would use it
I use it whenever I receive a phone call.

The incoming call currently does not display any caller ID or name so I have to ultimately look at my phone to know if I want to accept the call.

I'm hoping that if the phone book is populated at least I will see identifying info. What I'd like to know is: Is it possible to upload iphone contacts via bluetooth? The manual doesn't go into any detail and I'm guessing what allowed this 15 years ago is long forgotten tech in the iPhone.

I've tried on and off for 4 years and haven't been able to get my contacts to upload.
