Is this a good price for a 8274?

Hey Guys,

Trying to find out if this is a good price for a 8274 Warn, PO is asking 650.00

- PO had done some minor maintenance: replaced pinion and cam
- good cable and hook
- comes with controller
- comes with fairlead
- Says it is in good working condition
- haven't seen it in person put looks decent in this pic
- Says srl is 169999

Looks to be in very good shape, maybe a little rust on the drum (pretty normal). If you don't have to do anything to it but mount it, it would be a fair deal - but I would take it apart and have a look and change the oil anyway. Offer the owner less.

I have seen some 8274s in dirty crappy condition for 350-700.. That is an part#8403 8274 from the late 70s with the Prestolite motor. It hasnt been used much. I would say that is in the Ballpark.

Thanks guys for the advice, it ended up selling before I could see it. I have an older 8274 that I will fix up, but wanted to grab this for my bro. I will keep an eye out on the classifieds for a used one.
