I have looked around and seen the various build threads but have not found any details on how to mount the proximity sensors in the bumper. The adapters that come with the bumper don't seem to fit the sensors that come n the GX , they are also very different than the sensors pictured in the instructions. Forthe outboard sensors I took the mounts off the factory bumper and reused them. The problem I have is with the two inner sensors. Any details on how to mount those would be a great help.

Thanks for the link. I have read through your build thread many times and have picked up lots of good info and tips from it. As a mechanical engineer dealing with precision designs I appreciate your approach to your build. In your thread you mention the mounting of the sensors but I haven't found any details on how you mounted the sensors.

Here is how I mounted the sensors on the wings using the factory mount, it works great.

The two sensors on the front of the bumper are not working out. There isn't a mount I can modify from the factory from lower grill and the adapters Ironman supplied adapters don't fit the sensor. I tried modifying the adapters to work but they are just not holding very well

Before I start designing and 3D printing my own mounts I wanted to see what others had done.

The sensor mounting on my LC when I installed my ironman bumper was really push in. Easiest part of the install.

I wish that was the case with the GX bumper, unfortunately not

Still hoping for some input on how others mounted their sensors.

In the mean time I have another question for those with premium bumpers. How is everyone mounting th back end of the center skid plate that come with the bumper. As far as I can tell it doesn't line up with the bolt holes in the cross member. I have tried with and without the factory skid that protects the area where the sway bar is.

The instructions are useless with no detail

I did call Ironman up and ask them. The guy checked the GX460 they have there and responded that it doesn't line up on theirs either.

Since I'm not seeing any response for your question about sensors I'll just go ahead and answer.
Look at your stock bumper and measure down, vertical to where each of the 4 sensors land (or you can just measure one half and mirror over to the other side).
Transfer those measurements to your new bumper with a piece of chalk. You should now have 4 vertical lines that identify the how far down the sensors go.
Now using a tape measure, probably the type used for measuring clothing since they're more flexible than the "Stanley" tapes, and measure how far horizontally they are from each other. Then "X" marks the spot where to drill. Carefully measure the diameter of the sensor housing (the round piece that goes in the hole and holds the sensor.
Drill out the 4 holes. Then go back to your stock bumper and see where the notches are for the orientation of the sensors (they have to point/be clocked to a certain angle). Then use a rotary tool/file or something to make one small notch in each hole.
That should be it!

The link in the above post mudmoose made explains my 3d printed mounts. They are on thingiverse or If you need a set PM me and I'll mail you a set.
I'll have to look and see the rear of the skid plate to see how I did it on the basic bumper. Don't remember any issues.
