Iron Pig Bumpers and Side Armor

I spoke with Lance this morning from Iron Pig about bumpers for the FJ . He is close to completing the front and rear and is hoping to have some ready for x-mas . These bumpers will help protect tail lights as well as the front corners and will have better approach and departure angles. If anyone is looking for awesome protection for there fj they should hold off on purchasing anything until you check them out . No pics yet but hopefully soon.

Trust me as soon as he gives the word there will be pics. I think i'm going to go out there as soon as he gets them finished , hopefully in the next couple of weeks. He's working on a silver fj which is the color i have. There is deffinetly a need for this style armor on the east coast. I need to hit the lottery .

Looks like I am 5.5 hours away form his shop. I may take a road trip to check it out also. I am so happy there is a fab shop on the east coast doing this. Why should the left coast have all the fun.

Unfortunately not. They are waiting on the laser gutter guy to cut the plate. Then they have to put it together. After that it will be at power coat. Having seen the mock-up in person, it looks like nothing else out there, and not in a bad way either. I wish I could give a time frame, but I can't. Maybe Lance, or Cam can shed some light on that.

Thanks I am not in a rush for bumper yet. Waiting for all the makers to come out with theirs and than I will choose.
Is there any skids in the works also?

No on the skid plate, they use the Budbuilt. No sense in re engineering that. It is way nice!

Like Green73 said the from seeing the mock up version in person it doesn't look anything like anyother out right now but it looks nice, can't wait until finished!!!!!!!!!! As for skidplates Budbuilt is the guy to get one from they are way nice!!!!!! Can not wait to try mine out once the bumpers are done!!!!!!!!!

To hear the word directly from the mouth of the shop give Ironpigoffroad a call 1866IRONPIG. Talk to Lance or Cam. Last time I was down there they had on side mocked up and sent out to the laser cutter to get pieces cut for a prototype.

I talked to Cam today and he said the back bumper is at the laser guys now............ But since everything is all backed up right now and since they have had my FJC for a bit they are going to build a 1 off set for me just as they want to produce them and enter everythng into CAD, for the laser guys, for production bumpers when they start selling them........ Might be a bit but I know it will be worth the wait having seen some of the vehicles and production items IPOR sells!!!!!!! Please wait on pics cause when they are done I will be posting pics everywhere and on every forum I can!!!!!!
