When I plug an ipod into the connection it just causes my Ipod to blink but not play. If I try plugging straight into the AUX port nothing happens. I can't even get the AUX to show up when I select the DVD/AUX. Only the DVD does (There is a DVD in the player). Does the Ipod kit that was installed runs from the AUX port? I plan on uninstalling the Ipod kit and take it out of the glove box. Any idea if that will fix the AUX port. I'm just nervous about taking the head unit out to uninstall.

I encountered same problem. My kid is trying to play music from her iPhone, she bought a lightning plug-aux port cord at Target. She plugged into the AUX port and same thing above happens, the AUX doesn't show up when pushing DVD/AUX. The DVD shows up if there's a disc; if I remove the DVD the HDD shows up and plays the recorded tracks.

Has anyone tried a cord that works? Other option I'm looking at is a Portable Bluetooth Aux adaptor on Amazon for about $15. Not wanting to spend a lot if that's possible.

OP, did you find a solution?

Not to be dumb but when you say the HDD shows up, what is HDD?

Hard disk drive. I have a 2009 LX and it has a built in hard drive to allow one to save music. Not sure if the LC has it as well? I bought the LX a few years ago used, and prior owner has a few song tracks and albums saved on the HDD.

I ordered and tried this Bluetooth aux adaptor, did not work. It paired to my daughter's iphone 12, but when I push the HDD/Aux button, again the vehicle's screen/unit kept playing only tracks of HDD. Aux wouldn't show up no matter how many times I pushed "HDD/Aux"

For those who have a 200 and have the HDD/AUX button, what happens when you push this button? Do you see on the touch screen the system cycling between HDD and AUX when this button is repeatedly pushed? On mine, I can't see the AUX menu at all. If I'm on FM/AM/Sat and I push HDD/AUX the sytsem will go to HDD, but AUX just won't show up. Is this normal? I feel like something is wrong.

How this works on my 2009 LC:

- With no AUX cable plugged in, the AUX menu will not appear.

- Plugging in the AUX cable will allow AUX audio input to be selected, without anything connected to the cable. Connecting to a phone, both directly through an AUX port, and in my case with an AUX to USB-C adapter, both function properly.

- iPod 30-pin connector is selected through the SAT input, listed as iPodCharge or similar. I use a CarPro Bluetooth adapter to stream media via Bluetooth while retaining steering wheel controls. This adapter was no longer available when I last checked.

As a side note if anyone is curious, the sound quality is the same or in my opinion better coming through the BT/iPod cable compared to the AUX port, which I have always found surprising.

It may be worth trying a different AUX cable. Also simple, make sure the cable is in the port all the way. There is a firm click when fully seated into the port.

Spot on! I plugged the AUX cable in first and sure enough it worked. Now I just need to figure out why my Satillite radio doesn't show up anymore. I disconnected the headunit and plugged it right back in and now no XM. :(

That's odd you now have no XM. Does it have to be "reprogrammed?"

Would you sharing a link to the AUX cable you have that works in your LC? Thanks.

The AUX cable is one I had laying around. The XM not working I'm guessing it was me when I disconnected the head unit and plugged it back in. Maybe a pin on the back or something.
