I tired of having my phone fall to my feet with this stupid magnet mount that clips to the AC vent.
What’s everyone use for a good secure mount that’s also easy visible and accessible while driving? (Waze directions)
I’ve put ProClips in the kids’ Lexus suvs but they don’t make a similar on for the LC

I use these 4 for the iPad and it’s rock solid zero vibration. When I’m not using the iPad (regular days) I use 1 of them for my iPhone

DPA200 is right - a single peel and stick magnet (I used the schosche - or how ever it is spelled) is the way to go for a phone - just gotta place the thin metal strip on back of the phone, then cover over that. Works like a gem - never comes off until you pull it.

I use this cheap AC vent mount. Hardly noticeable when not in use. I like this style because it is very flexible in terms of where you can mount and position the device. It works great with my XS Max.

I use a magnet mount with my S9+. Attaches to the CD slot. Make sure to buy one that has a know to tighten and not spring loaded as they will wear out. I have one like this and the magnet is plenty strong:

That's EXACTLY what I have in both my LC and my wife's GL The phone just slides off. I have a Otterbox case.

I use the same mount DBA uses and they are great! Your case is too thick for the magnet... I would suggest either putting the magnet on the outside of the case, or taking the case off and having the magnet on the back of the phone.. CD holder is solid option to, have that in my daily

Thinking the case is just too thick, I have the metal plates with the stickers at home, I’ll give them a try later.

I use a Rokform case and simple magnet mount. The case has a magnet as does the mount so it holds really well even off road.

I have a otter case on a iPhone 8 Plus, but I did put the magnet on the outside of the case. Inside the case it didn’t hold at all. Same with my iPad.

I use a proclip dash mount with a Panavise charging dock. I like the convenience of the magnetic mounts but my offroad driving style makes them less than ideal.

I use a pro clip phone holder connected to a long Ram arm which connects to a seat wedge mount. Puts the phone near the usb charge port by the front passenger left leg area.

I keep a ram mount suction attached for long trips. Stays in glove box most days.

For the early gen LX's, doubling up on magnetic vent clip mounts works wonders! It puts the phone in an ideal position and angle. Doesn't budge whatsoever even bombing down desert washes.

Sure it's obviously double the grip. But it's more than that because the additional attachment point geometrically stabilizes things so it never spins or moves. Super easy one hand affair. I have the same setup in my sports car with coil overs, spherical suspension ends, and hard engine mounts. That's the harder test and again, doesn't budge.
